Task 1: Bump In / Installation
Setup requires unloading vehicles, transporting boxes/road cases to various rooms in various venues, unpacking boxes/road cases, running power boards and leads and then placing laptop computers on desks in a pre-determined pattern, connecting a USB mouse to each, connecting the laptops to power and then taping down any cabling to prevent trip hazards. Power on the laptops and ensure they connect to the venue Wi-Fi (we would look to pre-config SSID/passwords per venue) and open the testing app
Task 2: Onsite Support
Onsite Support: On the exam days (Fri/Sat/Sun), some venues will also require 1 or more on-site IT resource. This will be a firm 7am-5pm with breaks and is fairly simple from an IT perspective – essentially if the exam staff can’t resolve an issue with a laptop, replace it with a spare. HOWEVER – there are very strict guidelines for behaviour of the support staff which must be adhered to. Mobile phone usage and inattentiveness/disruption from the support team will NOT be permitted.
Task 3: Bump Out / Uninstall
Essentially a reversal of items mentioned in the Installation / stage, packing items ready to be removed from site etc
Experience / Requirements:
1. Installation Tech’s –must be physically fit & healthy due to the manual handing of computer hardware etc
2. Good communication & customer facing skills (Fluent English, polished appearance)
3. Must be available to work on 30th April & 1st May (as a minimum)
4. Onsite Support Tech’s will need to pass a Working With Children’s Check (WWC), provide the details ahead of time and have it uploaded to their Service NSW App on their phone
5. Onsite Support Tech’s should have some experience in diagnosing/fixing Windows 10+, MS Office and general Windows application support
